Cinderella's Sister 17-20 FIN@11:23 AM

So, I finished Cinderella's Sister close to a month ago, and to put the drama simply. It was a "COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT". That's what I would call it. The hype for the drama was so great that I thought the drama would at least be decent. In the end, I just figured that it was a combination between all the Kpop fangirls following Taec to this drama and the expectations placed for Moon that created all of that.

Either way. They carried on with the whole, HyoSeon and KangSook plot, which was much better formulated than the EunJo and KiHoon romance plot. There was a redeeming bit with JunSu referencing some popular Kpop groups and doing the dances, it was an attempt at comic relief and honestly that was the best part of these last few episodes. In this episode JungWoo and EunJo get their little date thing for JungWoo's birthday. It was rather cute and endearing, a little light fluffy note that didn't make much sense so late in the drama.

Also in these last couple of episodes EunJo and KiHoon play their one minute per year game, so they basically made up for 8 years of lost time within these last few episodes. It was quite cute, but didn't make much sense to me. EunJo and KiHoon spend about 16 episodes not knowing what the heck they're doing and dragging on their senseless romance, and then they use the time of 4 episodes fixing it. I'm not sure if they're aware, but they spent the SQUARE of the amount of time fixing their relationship to drag it on. It's just too late at this point to make the whole romance plot work for me.

I personally enjoyed the KangSook and HyoSeon plot more. It came too late in the series to make a significant difference though. Which was disappointing. I have no idea what redeeming factor the previous 15 episodes had. It also was interesting to see KangSook comforting her friend's daughter in order to redeem herself for not comforting her own daughters. In these last few episodes KangSook has really been changing herself.

For the next three episodes, basically KiHoon makes up his own plan on how to save DaeSung's winery. He basically blackmail/bribes his own family and EunJo basically goes ballistic and hands all the information over to the police. And somewhere in all of this KiHoon gets freaking KIDNAPPED by his own brother. This show is making less and less sense.

Also the little brother JunSu in all of these last 4 episodes shows his angry side in which he calls EunJo a witch. I mean sure, little JunSu has lost his daddy and his mommy ran away from home, but does this make us the least bit sympathetic? No. EunJo also finds this family portrait that JunSu drew, which she's not in. I wonder if EunJo is FINALLY getting it into her head that she's been such a brat all this time. Yeah, only 17 episodes too late.

Then finally KangSook and HyoSeon figure out their whole stepmother-stepdaughter relationship, and everything between them gets laid out on the table for them both to see. To me in this scene HyoSeon retains her rather little girlish ways as she wants KangSook to hurt for her the same way she hurts for EunJo

KiHoon's dad gets taken in by the police and as KiHoon asks him to just come live with him and EunJo and live just a simple humble live, he declines. No happy ending there. And somewhere along the way KiHoon gets taken to be investigated by the police.

Also FINALLY JungWoo gets rejected after a heartfelt marriage proposal to EunJo, which was heartbreaking, but at the same time I felt like "Let's just get it over with" this whole time.

Finally, everything is all getting wrapped up, it's rather rushed, but that's because this whole entire drama had been dragging this whole time.

All in all the 20th episode, finale, was just a bunch of hugging and crying for me. I don't actually remember much from it (also might be because I'm writing this 1 month after I finished the drama) besides that EunJo and HyoSeon hug a lot after EunJo and KiHoon FINALLY solidify their relationship and HyoSeon somewhat shows that she approves. And then JungWoo leaves, but before he leaves EunJo runs after him and has a cute parting scene. Honestly, rather dragging the whole KiHoon and EunJo relationship on and on, they didn't even have that many cute scenes. Seriously drama! Just make EunJo end up with JungWoo and be done with it! Even though it wouldn't make much sense, but seriously, WHERE IN THIS DRAMA DID THIS DRAMA MAKE SENSE AT ALL?

Oh, and even worse. Just as KiHoon is coming back from being investigated by the police. EunJo decides to run away from home. Yes, in the last episode. Once again, how does this drama make sense? Anyway, the drama fast forwards into the future and KiHoon and HyoSeon are still looking for EunJo. And then they have this whole part about how they make her come back, blah blah blah. Not important. AND FINALLY. THIS DRAMA F)SEFIOEJOSDJFODHJF ENDS ON THIS HAPPY HAPPY FAMILY NOTE. THANK JESUS. WE'RE DONE.

So overall. My rating for this drama... out of ten, for enjoyment/quality.

...

It would be ...
1/1.

PS: I'm watching an older drama right now called Couple or Trouble much better change of pace from this terrible drama.
